Church Picnic, 8/24
Join us for a picnic at Oakbrook Valley on Sunday, August 24 at 3 p.m. to celebrate 45 years of Chapel Hill's ministry.
- 3:00 p.m. Games & fellowship
- 5:30 p.m. Dinner
- 6:15 p.m. Worship & testimonies
- 7:15 p.m. Head home
During our worship time, Lyle Rosenberry will share about how Chapel Hill has stepped out in faith in the past. Then, we will spend some time as small groups in a guided prayer time. We will finish up with some thoughts about looking toward the future.
Chapel Hill will provide meat and drinks. Everyone is asked to bring two food items to pitch in. Visit the foyer table for more information this Sunday. This is a great time to get to know others better and build community. Everyone is invited!
Visit the Prayer Room
The Prayer Action Team has set up a Prayer Room with several prayer stations. Everyone is encouraged to check it out and spend some time praying in this space over the next couple of months. It is family-friendly with some interactive ways to pray. This is a great way to stretch your prayer life individually or as a family or group.
- Learn to pray Scripture
- Journal your prayers
- Pray the names of God
- Practice praying creatively
- Use local and global maps to pray
The Prayer Room is open during office hours for anyone to use. Groups should schedule use with Scott Russell (765-437-4980) so that we can have the room ready for a group. Learn more in the7/25 eVision.
